Complete body for a special.

Built up by Geoff Fullard of Melbourne around 1946-48 and fitted to an Amilcar CGS he modified as a sprint and hillclimb car. The frame is of square and round tube and the steel skin is welded directly to the frame. The body is vaguely Frazer Nash although the radiator (offered separately) was inspired by a 1930s Delage. Completely restored, including painting and electroplating and includes the following:

Complete body, 4 mudguards to suit, Windscreen, Bonnet, upper panels restored, lower remade along with originals, Wooden floorboards and steel transmission tunnel, Toe board, Seats and squabs (nearly new and leather), Wooden dashboard but no instruments, Wooden luggage rack across tail, Spare wheel mount, Hood (nearly new), Tonneau (nearly new), 1 only side curtain for passenger’s side, Other bits and pieces including some support framing.

Wheels are shown only to give an idea of the finished car and are not for sale. The front guards were sourced from a Dustings sidecar while the rear guards are modified pre-Second World War Triumph guards. Geoff widened them.

The radiator is fully restored and plated and is offered separately.

Although built onto an Amilcar CGS chassis the body is made in such a way that it would be quite easy to adapt it to another chassis of similar size. ie. small to medium

The body shell is 3100mm long from stem to stern, 1100mm wide, and 580mm high as measured from the chassis to the scuttle immediately in front of the windscreen. The cockpit is 675mm wide, internally, measured  where the seats are positioned. The bonnet is 885mm measured front to back down the central hinge line. The is ex-Delage and solid German Silver.

For personal pickup only. Extra photographs and information available

from Bruce Smeaton on (02) 6227 4385 (most times) or smeaton@westnet.com.au.

 Best offer.

99 EMS SAAB - The Rally Model - Well used but very well maintained by SAAB specialists
This iconic SAAB was originally purchased by George Green, a highly regarded vintage car collector, who sold it to its current owner in August 1980. It has been used regularly during these thirty years, but very well maintained. In the last 2 years it has had a re-conditioned engine installed, a new water pump shaft installed, the clutch reconditioned, the starter motor dismantled and inspected, the radiator re-conditioned and a new battery installed. In the past it has been re-duco'd and re-upholstered and the gearbox has been reconditioned.
Although currently fully road registered, being over 30 years old, it is eligible for historic registration. It is also
eligible for VSCC membership.
This powerful and responsive car is a delight to drive. It would be excellent for a VSCC member or rally enthusiast who wished to participate in classic or vintage events
