Joining the VSCCA you will give you the benefit of:

  • Invitations to a wide range of motoring and social events put on by the VSCCA and other clubs with similar aims.
  • A subscription to The Vintage Car, a leading magazine
  • Advice from widely experienced technical experts
  • Access to an extensive library of technical reference and vintage motoring books.
     

But most of all, you'll enjoy the camaraderie of a diverse group of people who share a passion for classic sports car motoring.

The Club provides a variety of services for Club members. These include social, touring and closed circuit events, a Club magazine, monthly meetings, and regular forums for members to discuss current issues and swap ideas. The common theme for all of these activities is a love of classic sports cars, their restoration, maintenance and preservation.

Originally the Club catered for the owners of Vintage Sports Cars - sports cars manufactured prior to 31st December 1930. Today however, Eligible vehicles range from Vintage vehicles (manufactured prior to 1931), specials made from vintage components, many post vintage vehicles and most sports cars manufactured prior to 30 years ago. 
 
Various levels of Club membership are available for eligible vehicle owners and Associate membership for those without vehicles that have demonstrated interest in vehicles of this era and/or type. Please contact the Club Secretary for details of eligibility.
 
A Club services gives access to the low priced RTA Conditional Registration Scheme that allows use of eligible club vehicles to all Club events. The Club has in-house specialist inspectors for the registration process. This licence, with reduced registration and insurance costs, allows classic sports car motoring at a very moderate cost.
 
The annual membership fee is $70.

Please Note: Categories of Membership:

The Club was founded in 1944 as an association of owners of Vintage Cars. As time has passed, the type of cars acceptable for membership was broadened to include cars of the 1930s. Later, the Club's Memorandum and Articles of Association (1988) allowed a category of car which is designated an Eligible Sports Car. These are sports cars or sports car specials which meet the age requirements for the RTA's concessional registration scheme, and which are approved by the Committee. ESC Members are entitled to all rights and privileges of membership except that they are ineligible to be an office bearer of the Club or to vote to change the Club's constitution.

The Club also welcomes Associate Members, that is, those who do not own an eligible car, and the rules for ESC Members set out above also apply to them.
