Sunday 18 March 2012 We have booked Rob Everett as “Master of the Day” and his crew of the S.S. Waratah, a steam powered tug for a four hour cruise on Sydney harbour from 11am to 3pm on Sunday 18th March 2012. S.S. Waratah can be boarded at the shipyard at Rozelle Bay just west of the Anzac Bridge on James Craig Rd. The cost is $36.00 per head and it will be a B.Y.O. lunch and drinks affair. It can’t get much better for a Sunday being aboard this historic vessel for an enjoyable four hour cruise around our beautiful harbour. I |

is suggested that you don’t bring your Club car as there will be no one to guard them whilst we are out on the harbour. There is parking for your cars on the dockside near where the Waratah is moored. The vessel is authorised to carry 49 passengers, so with this in mind, it will be a first in with their names who secure a place on this day out. If the event proves successful then the Committee will consider a further event later in the year for those who missed out. Please aim to arrive at the car park by 10.15am as boarding can commence by 10.30am to 10.45am if the vessel is ready. If it is late getting away then your time on the harbour is less – so please try and be early. Payment can be made on the day or you can pre pay by EFT directly into our Club account – if paying by EFT please include your “surname” and the word “cruise” with your payment. However more importantly, to book a spot please ring me on either of the numbers recorded below. Once the 49 names are received, bookings will close |
